“It’s time for people to have a choice—a real choice. Right now, Democrats and Republicans aren’t listening to the people and we have to stand up and change that. I am considering running because I believe that I can be that voice speaking on behalf of average people’s concerns.” Pinckney said. “We can’t keep letting corporations and their friends in public office hold us down. We’ve got to stand up and fight back. We’ve got to work together to stand up to these elected officials who don’t want to be held accountable. We’ve got to make them do the right thing. It’s time for us to stand up and fight back.” Recognized nationwide as a leader in the civil rights movement,

Founder of the Black Autonomy Network Community Organization, headquartered in Benton Harbor, Pinkney has been engaged in social movement work in frontline communities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and Detroit for decades.
