US Social Forum accepting proposals for Cultural Events, Workshops and Work Brigades

Another World is Possible. Another US is Necessary. A New Detroit is Underway

20,000 changemakers will be gathering in Detroit in June from all different sectors and communities to share vision, strategy, practice, and action. Be a part of it. Plan it. Build it. Bring it.

Showcase Your Art and Performance

We are seeking artists who are interested in helping to build a movement and heal our communities through social justice and the arts.

The USSF 2010 will showcase art, culture and entertainment in ways that convey momentum and hope. The USSF 2010 shares a vision that challenges poverty, exploitation, oppression, militarism/war and environmental destruction-- locally, nationally and globally.

Assemblies, Brigades, Caravans, Detroit Expanded. People Everywhere are Preparing for the Forum

A new site, http://abc.ussf2010.org highlights all the different lead-up activities to the Forum.

Peoples Movement Assemblies are happening all over the country from New Orleans Louisiana, Portland Oregon, San Antonio Texas, all the way to Knoxville Tennessee.

The PMA is an opportunity to facilitate deep analysis on the current political moment and collectively develop strategic resolutions for action.

We invite you to bring the visions, demands, declarations, and calls to action from your community to Detroit in June. If you are interested in holding an Assembly as part of organizing in your community toward the Forum and beyond, check out:

Feed the Roots. Grow the Movement. Donate

Detroit has shown that the neoliberal economy has not just failed the Global South, it has also failed here at home. But Detroit is more than a city of economic collapse: it is a city of fierce resistance, and a center of a growing movement for alternatives to the current destructive economy. Make a donation now to highlight Detroit as a ?Solution City.?

Help us reach our goal of $5,000 by March 20th.
